The tender process has begun for a new pilot service to provide culturally-specific support and training to kinship carers of Aboriginal children and young people.

This pilot aims to support kinship carers to maintain children’s connection to family, community and culture and will be delivered by one or more Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations. We also support partnership and consortium approaches.
Any model developed and delivered will:
- provide kinship carers with support, training, assessment, advocacy and advice services
- respond to the specific cultural requirements of Aboriginal children and young people.
