As part of the department’s sponsorship of the event, a limited number of tickets are available for children and young people with a care experience, aged 12 to 25, and carers to attend.

This year’s theme, ‘Your Stories. Stronger Together’ will showcase the importance of each individual young person’s story and journey in the out-of-home care sector and how we can effect positive change by bringing these voices together and working collectively. The Voices in Action Conference is a unique opportunity to elevate the voices of children and young people – because their insight is critical to ensuring the system is effective into the future.

The 2024 conference will provide an in-depth exploration of key issues identified by children and young people with a care experience as fundamental to improving the care system. The conference format will feature a daily keynote address from inspirational thought leaders in the care system, followed by a series of interactive sessions focused on applying the insights of young people, carers, and professionals to some of the key issues facing our sector.
