Carers with a child who will transition to year 7 in 2024, may have heard about this from the child’s primary school and received information to complete a registration of interest.

For children in care, DCP caseworkers are responsible for lodgement of the Department for Education registration of interest applications. The child’s DCP caseworker will contact the carer and work with them to determine up to 3 secondary school preferences, and submit the application by 26 May 2023.

Children in care can apply for, and receive entry into any government secondary school in South Australia, irrespective of school zone.

Carers who have already completed this application should be directed to contact the child’s DCP caseworker to discuss the information submitted.
