We answer your frequently asked questions on the 2023-2024 Supplementary Indexation Payment to support non-government organisations that provide services in the social, community home care and disability sectors.

What is the Supplementary Indexation Payment?

In recognition of the higher service delivery costs associated with minimum Award outcomes and inflationary pressures, the Malinauskas Government, as part of the 2023-2024 State Budget, has committed to supporting eligible non-government organisations who provide services in the social, community home care and disability sectors with further supplementary indexation.

How do I determine if I am eligible to receive a supplementary indexation payment?

If you received a supplementary indexation payment for the 2022-2023 financial year or have an existing block funded or goods and services contract with the Department for Child Protection (DCP) to deliver services to children and young people on behalf of the South Australian Government you may be eligible.

What is the total payment I will receive if I am eligible?

Effective from 1 July 2023, a supplementary indexation increase of 2.3 percentage points will be applied to your contract for 2023-24 (in addition to the existing 2023-24 2.5% indexation) resulting in a total indexation rate of 4.8% for the 2023-24 financial year.

The supplementary indexation rate has been published on the DTF website and is effective from 1 July 2023.

The combined funding payment total for 2023-24 will become the new funding baseline to which the published indexation rate of 2.5% per year will apply from 2024-25.

How will I receive the payment?

You will receive the payment via existing payment mechanisms.

Do I need to apply to receive the payment?

No, your eligibility is predetermined based on your current funding agreement with DCP.

Is this payment in addition to my existing funding arrangement?

Yes, it is a supplementary payment on top of your funding block funding and growth funding payments for the 2023-2024 financial year only.

Who do I contact if I have a concern about my payment?

Please contact your DCP Contract Manager in the first instance.
