The forum built on the success of the inaugural event and considered how the child protection sector can collectively address placement breakdowns. DCP also outlined a proposed new strategic approach to sector engagement, which was well received by attendees.

As a sector we have many areas of shared focus, including building a skilled workforce, strengthening our practice, encouraging innovation and improving the capacity of our system.

The OOHC Providers: Heads of Industry Forums are recently established events under DCP’s new sector engagement approach. These events are one of the ways DCP is working with the sector to respond to emerging trends and share learnings, innovation, best practice and data.
