An initiative at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital is offering a new way to access urgent health care for children and young people aged 1–18 years.

The Women’s and Children’s Hospital’s Child and Adolescent Virtual Urgent Care Service enables children who are well enough to avoid hospital and receive expert advice virtually, no matter where they are.

This service is staffed by highly skilled paediatric emergency nurses and doctors who will conduct an assessment and provide advice or referral to an appropriate service for ongoing care.

The service runs 7 days a week from 1pm to 8.30pm and can be accessed by any child or young person aged 1–18 years.

For further information and to access the service, refer to Child and Adolescent Virtual Urgent Care Service.
