Children who are or have been in care are eligible to attend a government preschool after their 3rd birthday. Additionally they may either start school when they reach the age of eligibility for enrolment at a government school, or continue at preschool until they turn 6 years of age.

Quality preschool education gives children the best possible start in life and prepares them for future learning. Early learning experiences help to create a lifelong passion for learning, develop social skills, assist with problem-solving and creativity and develop language, fine motor and sensory skills.
