The Department for Child Protection, Basketball SA and the Adelaide 36ers are pleased to announce that a limited number of places will be available for children and young people in care to participate in a school holiday basketball clinic in January 2026. The clinics will be facilitated by 36ers Community Coaches, and a special guest from the 2026 36ers squad will be in attendance.

The school holiday clinic is open to all boys and girls aged 8-14 (noting exceptions can be made for young or older siblings or housemates) and will be held from 9:00am-12:00pm on Wednesday 14 January 2026. The clinics are designed to improve children and young people’s skills, develop techniques, enhance their game, meet new friends and have fun.

As there are limited places for children and young people in care in these clinics, DCP is currently seeking expressions of interest to help with planning. If you care for a child or young person who is interested in basketball, please complete the form: Expressions of interest - DCP and Basketball SA January school holiday clinics – Fill out form

Expressions of interest can be submitted until Friday 28 November 2025. Contact CPReform@sa.gov.au if you have any questions.
