Background

During September, the Department for Child Protection (DCP), in collaboration with our non-government partners, hosts events across South Australia to thank and celebrate foster and kinship carers as part of Foster and Kinship Carer Week (14-20 September 2025).

This week is about celebrating the contributions you make to the lives of children and young people, ensuring their ongoing safety and providing opportunities for them to thrive and succeed in life.
