The Department for Child Protection (DCP) is currently undertaking significant contract reform with a view to embed a continuous improvement approach to ensure we can best meet the needs of children and young people in care now and into the future.
Service Provider Briefing – September 2020 held 23 September 2020, provided the opportunity to be kept informed and discuss changes impacting Out of Home Care (OOHC) contracted arrangements, specifically in relation to:
- The achievements DCP and Service Providers have achieved so far in implementing reform to make the administration and management of contracts easier and more efficient in delivering better outcomes for children and young people
- Changes in State Procurement Board and how we are positioned to adapt and embrace these changes
- Next steps for DCP’s Contract Reform Project
- Upcoming changes and consultation process for web based contract content (e.g. service provision requirements and service specifications)
- Licensing reform
