“In just 12 months, this is a huge turnaround and speaks volumes to the Government’s focus and commitment to improve outcomes for children and young people in care.

“Every day, this Government continues to strive towards making improvements in our child protection system and our utmost priority remains the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in care.”

Case plans ensure there is a focus on each child or young person’s individual needs and future planning.

Case plans are a place where a child’s needs are recorded centrally, along with decisions including contact with family, maintaining connection to culture and plans for reunification.
