Carers would have noticed the annual $100 activity grant from the Department for Child Protection was paid into their account in late July.
The grant is normally given to support family-based carers to attend the Royal Adelaide Show with the child or young person in their care.
With recent news that the Show has been cancelled for 2021, carers are encouraged to use the grant to assist the child or young person in their care to participate in a cultural, recreational or social activity of their choice.
We understand the past 18 months have been financially difficult for many families, and we hope this grant will help in planning an enjoyable outing or activity with the child or young person in your care.
